I performed my master in Biochemistry at the Institute of Biochemistry, University of Balochistan, Pakistan and obtained my PhD from the UNESCO Center of Marine Biotechnology, Ocean University of China in 2012. My PhD thesis focused on the exploitation of marine microbes to identify novel antibiotics and killer toxin proteins and determining their mechanism of action. Supported by the Fulbright Scholar Program, I joined Prof. Argüello's lab at WPI in 2017. I am interested to investigate the roles of periplasmic protein in Cu regulation and virulence. To this end, I plan to use system biology analysis of model organisms.
